Hi js,
Does the door close when you shut the engine off?
If not…..
Have you checked the wiper door over-ride switch that is located under the steering column? It's the switch to the right.
When the stalk on the switch is pulled down it door open and remains open under all conditions. The wiper switch has no effect on it.
Perhaps you can eliminate that as a possible cause of your dancing wiper door.
Regards,
Alan
The left switch opens the headlight doors and the right switch opens the wiper door.
The doors remain open until the stalk is pushed up.

On my long list of mods is to make a timer circuit for delayed wipers (I'm an electronics engineer). I have all the stuff just not the time and it's low on the priority list.

what did I connect wrong?
Followed all the procedures, diagrams etc. Now when I start the engine the wiper door opens... Wipers work well, but the door stays open.
Override does not do the trick. Can someone please help me out here?
Thanks in advance
Robert
Sorry I did not see there was a second page with the same question.

Hi RV,
Are the wipers going to the 'park' position at the wiper stop in the center of the wiper bay?
The wipers need to do that so the lever that activates/closes the plunger on the wiper safety valve sends the vacuum signal to the wiper door relay to close the door.
Regards,
Alan
The lever on the transmission depressing the plunger.
