Anyone try to wrap there c3? My paint is crap and thought wrap would be cheaper than paint. Want to go satin black. Murder it out and do the door jams myself with flat black rattle can. Any prices?
Wow was hopeing it would be cheaper than that! There is a shop not far from me I think I'll drive up there and see what they say. Want to find out how durable it is also.

Shop around for sure, you'll find it's very durable. .. just make sure it's quality vinyl.
So yeah, he said about $3500-$4000. These cars have lots of character to work in. Also, its a pretty labor intensive job. You want somebody who is an attention to details type person.
I considered carbon fiber wrap on my 81 but after talking to a shop that does wraps and pricing everything out I decided to paint the car black and accent with CF vinyl.
The C3 has sharp feature lines on the tops of the fenders which makes the wrap a real chalenge for any shop. I t can be done but it would take a very experienced installer. The $4 - $5 K is what I was quoted. The shop in Houston had just finished a Charger in black carbon Fiber and it looked amazing. I used 3M film for my accents. It is the best out there and there is less expensive but with this film you will get what you pay for and any imperfection will really stick out.
By the way a good paint job on a C3 is $8K plus if the body prep is done right. Without good body prep a re spray will be a disappointment in most cases.
Another thing to note would be that corvettes have very few separate body panels compared to a "regular" car... One piece nose and rear section will need a monster piece of vinyl to cover seamlessly. I do vehicle wraps as well and would definitely be in the $4k+ range especially since the wrap will probably need to be special ordered extra large for the nose and rear section.
I did find on you tube "poor mans paint job" look it up. Pretty amazing what $200 can do. I just got my 77 and would love to paint or wrap it but at the cost that I'm hearing I will be investing my money in other aspects of the car before I can even think about paint or wrap.
