1/4 times would be same garbage as before (burnout would be easier though), to transfer the power of that engine you'd have to replace half of the car...
That would be mine. It is not done yet due to a LOT of personal issues but it is running and the motor sounds strong. Only driven it down the street a bit so far but looking forward to the day where I can run it like it is supposed to be run. It will be a fun motor. Any questions Iwill be happy to answer.

I think only a question of when to install own LS3/525HP engine
to1973 corvette !
I know the engine price...... but what you pay for cable set ?
and here is the really good pictures of the responses
I'm running a 400hp 6.0 LS motor in my 68 with a Richmond 6 speed. It is tough getting traction on the original size tires. But I REALLY love having the LS in there.

what think about toyo R888 tires ?
but the second is the most fun things you can do wearing trousers
I kinda like the original look inside and out, so I still got the 68 7" rims. My initial idea was to swap out the heads (L92) and a cam to put out about 500hp, but figured I didn't really need any more. Low maintenece, 26mpg, tons of torque, best thing I did to the old vette.

sorry i mean what need to LS engine (engine compartment forward harnesses)
I did get the wiring harness from the 09 Vette that the motor came from. I did not use it though and am using a harness from PSI. It gets rid of all the not needed wiring and really cleans up the harness. I integrated it into the car and also integrated the Vintage AC harness also. It took some work to get it to look all neat but well worth it. Also the guys from PSi are very helpful with any questions. They make many LS harnesses and are very familer with swaps and problems.

yes because you have to have the proper software and boxes
that we get a new engine to the old car
My big cam SBC got maybe 12mpg. When I went with the LS motor, I got an OD trans with a conservative 0.76 OD to go with the 3.08 rear. These motors produce such a nice torque curve, I probably could have gone with around a 0.66 and got a little better milage. Right now, it runs about 1900 rpm on the highway and I never have to downshift to pass or climb a hill.

Not an issue,so many people and companies do LS swaps now the info is easily found and parts are on the shelf ready to go.Of course you will run up a hefty credit card balance doing it,everything after all, has its price...
