Alternator part # 01-0211 Delco-Remy Ultima E9 with a big "N" on it?!?
My dual spal fans are sucking a lot of juice from my alternator, so I'm wondering what size alternator I have on there right now. It looks new and I was told it was a 140amp, but I can't find anything about it online. I looked through my receipts and couldn't find anything either. I got the #'s above from a metal tag that was on the alternator. The serial # looked a little short for a typical delco-remy part #, but that's what was on it.
Can anyone help? What power output is this thing? Can it be rebuilt for 140amps?

I don't know about the part#'s but my 85amp alt is reaaaaally not cutting it either but I'm surviving. I'm just about to order a 140amp alt from Summit part#sum-g1669. I don't think if your alt were 140 amps you'd be having any power issues. At least I hope not :( . I was under the impression that the late model z28's were running 130 amps or so with all their electrical equipment.
Good Luck

The part # as for a one-wire style alternator. Don't you have to do some type of conversion to use that style of alternator? Or is that what is stock on a C3?

Sounds like an Ultima brand rebuild sold at O'Reilly auto parts
