Replacing the trailing arm bushings, along with alot of other up grades and i got 1 side out cleaned up and inspecting the arm, when i grabbed the poly bushings and installed them they flop around in the arms (the steel outer sleeve in the arm) there is a pdf on VBP website for bushings kit install

i am wondering if i am not looking at $400 + for rebuilt arms? or am i doing this wrong?

Yes. VB&P used to give you several washers to shim the bushing snug to the sleeves. Call them and see if they will ship you a few shim washers and a new retainer. Anytime I've talked to them they seem like good people.

Better yet, read up on all the posts stating why poly bushings are a bad idea at the front of the trailing arms and get some rubber ones.

I been rebuilding cars for over fifty years and lots of C3 Corvettes. I have never seen front bushings on a C3 with poly last at all. I have had at least five friends who had to replace poly bushings with rubber.

new rubber ones on the way here. gives me time to rebuild the rear end waiting
