Default guys need a quick hand steering column?

help>>>>>>>>>im happy to find mytilt tele is not junk i found the 4 screws that hold the support to the main column were totaly falling out !the column threads are good not damaged my question is what torque value to tighten these bolt/screws and should i put a dab of loctite on the threads to prevent it from loosening again???any help would be huge i looked over jims tilt tele papers some i could not open for some reason im sure the answers are there somewhere.realy dancing a jig rite now but at a major stand still.... help please you guys are the best

I normally do a "good-n tight" torque. Die the screws being fine thread they can take it but do not use a 3 foot "cheater bar" attached to your ratchet. I also use removable threadlocker to aid in holding them in place.

did exactly that on a guess,just saved 750$fixing it my self now can use that toward seats and interior work.thanks again this forum has saved me a few times already . besides getting my vette ,this forum the next best thing I did this month!!

88 inch/lbs,tighten them in 20 inch/lbs increments up to the 88 final.
