Default Holley electric choke help Needed

I have a 4170 I put a electric choke on a manual choke carb
The choke works and is adjusted close but I have problems with the fast idle cam for Idle speed . The idle roams from different 1300 to 900 I have taken it apart and everything seems ok but it still seems to stick sometimes. My eyes are not so good and I want to get this thing correct.
Thanks in advance

just did that last winter had same problem, found I didn't do it right with the linkage had one of the linkage rods in wrong place. we practice until we get it right, like Edison said about creating the lite bulb " he discovered 900 plus ways how not to create a light bulb". carbs are so much fun to tinker with, I have faith in you, you'll get it rite. don't you wish you had one of those carb stands?

Had the same problem on my 4160, screwed around with it for 2 months and finally just gave up and went back to the manual.

Make sure the check valve, needle or ball, is below the squirter. Mine did not have them on the primary or secondary. Made my eyes water at 20 feet.

Not quite sure what Holley carb you have, but when my double pumper did that it turned out the accelerator pump arms were adjusted too far (tight) and that causes the dripping you're talking about. I'm sure there are other reasons too, but that was my problem. The pump levers should have just a slight amount of free play before they make contact and pump when the accelerator is moved.
