Here you go. Blaupunkt RPD550 -- only 85 bucks on eBay! Highly recommended.
Yes, I know it's sacrilege, but who cares!

I'll go take some pictures tomorrow, but are you just looking for in dash cd players? I have a cd changer mounted on a peice of plywood sitting in the back. IMO, it's a pretty clean install.

Nice looking deck, page62! Too bad the new Blau's are more gaudy looking. I am more into the simpler looking ones like yours.

I love my Pioneer deck and changer, the coolest thing is the remote. I got all this stuff a few years back, and transplanted from my old car. If I were to buy a new deck it would be one that plays MP3 CDs.
Here's the deck and remote
Here's the box I made with the changer and amp on the passenger side and the sub on the driver's side.
I also made a carpeted piece that sits above the storage compartments on the wheel wells so that I can strap my t-tops back there.

I have a Kenwood Excelon X-817 and i highly reccomend it if you like control of the audio. it has a front high pass crossover for front and rear, and a low pass for the NF, Non-fader. it has 3 RCA pre-outs (front, rear, Nom-fader) and a extremly versitile EQ. It also has a quality setting for mids and subs, so you can make yor subs sound bigger (sloppier) or tighter. i love this deck. its actually in my blazer right now but the good thing it that i dont have to worry about it sounding good in the blazer and not in the vette because all i have to do is change the settings. it also has a security setting so that if anyone steals it they have to know my code to make the deck work.

Re: Calling for pictures of cd players (Armstrong)
The new Alpines are amazing. A little pricey, but worth the cost. They come XM & MP3 compatable. I HIGHLY recommend that whatever you get, you make sure it can play MP3's. I have one disk of my favorites with 125 songs on it. All digitital quality. Disk changers are a thing of the past. Soon car stereos will be DVD capable as well. DVD burners are already out there & you can store almost 1,000 MP3's on one disk. Basically you can put your entire library on one disk & never change. I have the Alpine in the 850. I'll snap a shot next time I'm down there...

I do have to agree with Merlin on this. Wish I had got a MP3 Player for mine and I will one day but this does fine for now.

I don't have any pictures of it in my car, but here's what it looks like:

Here's some pics of the stereo in the 850. I'm going with the same system in the Vette. I also took a shot of the 2 X 12" solo barrics in the back with 900 watt & 450 watt kicker amps. There's a total of 14 speakers in the car with crossovers & all kinds of other junk. REALLY loud & clean. I also took a shot of the Alpine with the lights off. Very cool at night. Links to bigger shots at the bottom for those with bandwidth.

Re: Calling for pictures of cd players (Merlin522)
Damn steve, im impressed. thats a great system. i like the alpine sound and versatility, but i dont like the looks. im not really sure why, but it just dosent appeal to me. i dont need swimming dolphins or anything but i like it to look complicated, so people dont even try to screw with it. :D screw dolphins Mine has a formula-1 car display
[edit]i was gonna post a pic of mine but the kenwood site is down.[edit] i wish Eclipse made an MP3 player. eclipse is the best you can buy for sound quality so that + mp3 wooooooooo. in the vette im gonna go overboard just like the rims and paint. i want to do 4 10" Eclipse titaniums, but ill probably end up doing 4 10" aluminums. i already have 2 aluminums, and im about to start a job as a car stereo installer, so i should get everything done pretty cheap. on top of that im sound deadining (sp?) the hell out of everything to keep it nice and quiet inside with no stereo, and nice and clear + loud with it on. i am also using eclipse 6.5s with eclipse tweets. alpine MRV-F307 four channel amp for fronts/ and 2 Directed 1100D 1400watt amps for the subs.
told ya im goin overboard....;)

Re: Calling for pictures of cd players ('79ProwlerOrange)
Ben - The Alpine definitely is a little too "flashy". I wish it blended better, but the sound is incredible. So clean. There's plenty of companies that support MP3, so I know you'll be able to find the one that makes you happy! Good luck & let us know what you decide on!
