That looks nice. I've been considering these for my '71 coupe.
On these wheels, do you think that a wider tire would fit the the rear, or would it stick out?
I'm thinking 275 in the rear and 255 in front, both on the 18x9.
If I'm correct, that would put the outer edge of the tire out about 1/2" further than yours, and the inner edge of the tire would be about 1/2" closer to the frame rail.

I have to correct my self, these are not 18x9s, they are 18x8s. So the rim width is pretty much comparable to an original 15x8 with the exception of the offset. Originals had a -3 offset, these are a +1 offset which gives me little more wiggle room. But even then it's pretty close to the parking brake cable. So larger tires would probably rub or you would have to relocate the cable or get more positive offset so you have more clearance.

I have a spare set of trailing arms, so I may go ahead and rebuild them and relocate the e-brake cable while I'm at it.
I was considering going to 17's or 18's myself, and wrestled with it for months.....Somehow I can't do it. The 15's just look more "right" to me on the car. L88 hood, and fat back tires......nothing like it.

It could just be, because when I ordered a set of Z06 replicas from OEWheels, that was the size I ordered for a different application, my 2001 Z28. I was looking for width, and this set was the widest available. Before I traded a pair of the stock wheels from my first Camaro, and an ex-wife to someone I thought was a friend, I had planned to go with the ZR1's in 17x9.5 and 17x11's. I guess the front wheel sizes of both of these sets threw me off.

Base C5 and C5 Z06 have different size wheels. The 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 are the Z06 sizes. Base C5 is 17x8.5 and 18x9.5.
