Could you please post pictures of a straight from the side profile and close up from the rear tires outside so I can get a good idea of how wide the tires look?

I will get you a side profile of the whole car tomorrow when I am not blocked in by my wife's car. Here are the close ups:

I have
19x9.5 BS5” front with 275/35 19 super sports
19x10 BS 5.75 rear 285/35 19 super sports (12mm clearance at closest point to kick up )
On the rear 295 / 30 on 19” tyres would go close to fitting for road use , but not if you are tracking it
Unfortunately, when you are getting to the limits of what’s possible, when it comes to wheel clearance every C3 is different.

I think I'm going with those same rims in chrome. I would actually go with a slightly wider back tire on my 72 but they don't offer a backspace that would work in chrome I don't think unless I go 18 x 9, and even then I have to make some mods for the 5" backspace.

Have you had the chance of getting a side profile picture? How does the car handle and ride now? and hold traction?

thanks again

The car handles and rides great but to be honest I haven't pushed it hard since I just got it back on the road after sitting for about 12 years. The power assisted rack and pinion steering is a big improvement over the original manual steering.

Took it for a spin this afternoon on some back roads and I was really impressed given the car is almost 50 years old.

Please tell me more about your arrangement. Is that an ATI Procharger? Is the front cross-member notched for the pully? Are you running factory brackets for everything else? Please share......

Exactly what I'm looking for.

The wheels and tires are great, good ride and they balanced with no more than 3/4 oz of weights.

It is a Vortec V1 charger, the brackets needed to be modified. If you do some search here on the forum there are some posts about centrifical charged C3s. The nicest one I saw was a Pro-charger arrangement and the alt did not need relocating. Yes the front cross member needs to be modified. One person heated with a gas axe and another with a BFH did the modding. It's a lot of work and a big expense. If you are really interested in doing this PM me. T
ALSO YOU END UP WITH NO VACUMM
