Default Hi need help for my 74 - getting tires, rims, rotors calibers

Hi Folks
I have a Yellow 74 Vette and want to put on Torque Thrust Chrome Rims. 17x8, and Nitto 555's . I also want to put on slotted drilled rotors, new calibers and ceramic pads. I've gotten a head ache searching. I can't break the bank with a couple thousand dollar set. I can find the rotors, but then they want opening dimensions of the calibers. Caliber people ask another question. It goes on and on and it cant be this hard. . I'm sure someone out here has this info when they bought theirs or receipts to direct me to a link. I was using Discount Tire for tires and rims as they are every where and very dependable, I can get rotors, calipers and pads installed with no problem. Its getting them that as easy as it sounds isn't.
If any one can help it would be appreciated ...Len

I am in the decision phase for my 1973 Metalic Yellow ( AKA Gold ) 454 Coup rims and tires . I am thinking P02 Hub caps with Gold line tires , the P02 are stock on the car. Or having the Rally Rims painted body color and gold line tires . Any thoughts ????? Has anyone seem Rally Rims painted body color ??? P.S. I know the pic is not a 73

I've seen hundreds of sets of rally rims painted the body color or an accent color. and i have yet to see one that didn't look like garbage. the silver just looks good. and i think of all the factory c3 wheel options the rally wheels look best.i like the idea of the gold stripe tire, i think that works.

She kinda looks like a 4x4 without an engine. 18x10.5"s with 305 drag slicks (came with wheels) and 17x9's with 275-40 ZR17's on the front. Once I get a little smaller tire on the back, bet the engine in I'll be able to give her a worthy drop. The new front springs will allow the nose to sit about 1 inch lower, and the Sharkbite rear suspension gives me super quick adjustments to ride height.

All I did was find some nice motorsports wheels from a C5 corvette and use 2.5 inch spacers I found on Ebay.

I am really happy with them. Handling with them is much improved. Rears went from 8 inch to 10.5 inch. Front from 8 inch to 9.5.

I believe that I will go with the next bigger front tire size. Currently it has 245/45 17. I will go easily to 255/55 17 when it is time to upgrade the front.

I like these tremendously.

[QUOTE=spedaleden;1587273823]18" wheels

265/40/18 Front

What mods did you do to make them fit (spacers, springs, offset t-arm, etc.). Also, what are the brand of the tires & wheels?

Thanks for sharing!

I've made a decision not to flare the fenders on my 69, I hope I did not make an error. It is a restomod theme. The body goes in tomorrow for removal of all old primer down to the glass and new gel coat. Here is my issue, how am I going to hook up?
Power-690 hp, 690 ft/lb of torque at sea level at the flywheel. Car will be driven mostly around 3000 ft elevation
TKO 600
3.90 gear in the diff
Tom's offset trailing arms allowing 5 inch backspacing
Mostly street use with occasional drag strip use
I don't care very much how long the tires last
It does thunderstorm here sometimes on summer days, so I could conceivably get caught in rain.
Assume the drivetrain is up to the task, because it is. Should I change the plan and have some flares added before paint? Thanks in advance for some "real world" advice!

That's a lot of power and defiantly getting it done. I'm curious as to what responses you'll get. What are you running for an engine?

Thought I would show off the ever unpopular C5 wagon wheels. 17 x 8 with 255/50/17 Kumho tires using 2.5" adapters.

Also changed the exhaust to use CC true duals pipe set and Magnaflow 11226 mufflers with center/offset. My previous exhaust elbows were too close to the tires. Thanks to Dustup as I used info from his build in setting mine up.

What suspension work do you have don (if any)? Absolutely love your wheel/tire set up...

I have a VB&P 330# rear composite spring which was narrowed 1", VB&P Poly Adjustable strut rods, Bilstein HD shocks, and 10" rear spring bolts cut down to 9". I also moved the E-brake cable and mount to the top of the trailing arm. Longer bolts to lower so fender lip height is 28 at rear and 27 in front. I found the 8" bolts did not get low enough with the 330 # spring so used 10" and cut off at aroung 9.
