I have 18x9.5 with 5.5 BS and 1/4" spacers. 275 rr & 255 frt.
As I autocross put max negative camber to clear lowered rear springs.
Have to relocate both emergency brackets.

ok made my final decision. I'm going with 18x9.5 4 3/4" backspacing. I am thinking my wheel will be 3/4" less on the outside. than this car in pic below running a 18x10 with a 4.5" backspacing. what do yall think ??

I have US Mags Ramblers. 18x8 4.5 BS on front and 18x9.5 5.25 BS rear. 275's rear, 245's front. Although I relocated the parking brake bracket, I don't think that it was required for clearance but the cable would have needed a tie strap or two to make room. No interference with spring bolts, calipers, rear spring end or sway bar end links and no spacer. I did use a 1/4" spacer on the fronts to move the wheels outboard.

So I'm thinking with my 18x9.5 with a 4 3/4" backspacing. will be 3/4" further out toward the fender well lip than yours. I think I will be fine with that.

You shouldn't have any clearance issues with that BS.

Ouch! Sorry to see that. Did you need that 1/4" spacer? Maybe a little too much tire? You may have to adjust rear ride height or think about a 275 tire.

I need to get a shorter spring in order to remove the 1/4" spacers. Not sure exactly what I need to do yet. Maybe some mild flares.

Did you look at off-set trailing arms. that may help.

You need taller bumps stops and your problem will be solved. Install taller bump stops or re modify mounting tabs for your existing stock ones and you will have no issues. You can get taller Bump stops from Jegs.com they have 1 1/2" or 2" tall. Had same issue and this fixed it.
Offset trailing arms will not change anything with existing rims.

FRONT
18x8 American Racing Polished Torq-Thrust II wheels, 4" backspacing, 245/45/18 Nitto NT555 tires.
REAR
18x9.5 American Racing Polished Torq-Thrust II wheels, 5" backspacing, 285/40/18 Nitto NT555 tires.

Stock trailing arms. VB&P Performance Plus rear suspension package but with stock rear sway bar. All pics are with the body off the frame since that is where the project is at right now. All fit OK, but I'll have some close spots to monitor on the rear when she's done.

It seems as though every c3 corvette has TT2 aftermarket wheels and the cars all seem the same. I have looked at past threads (as far back as 2002) and I see TT2s then. Can anyone tell me the reason they are so popular?

'cos they look great! I know what you mean though. Seems to be the case that most cars though end up with a most common aftermarket wheel associated with them.
