Incomplete, but in the works. 17x9 1/2 front 17/x11 rear, no flares front or rear. All tucked in.

Default 1978 Corvette

I want to put some newer style Corvette Tires and Rims on my 1978 Corvette. I would like to know how big i can go. I am looking at some rims from a C5 Vette. Anyone have any advice?

How about a 315-30/18 Falken on a 18x10.5 Forgeline with a 5.5 backspace. Same size and backspace all around. The rest of the setup...Ridetech suspension, Baer brakes, no trimming, no rubbing.

No, the oem trailing arms will not accommodate a 5.5" backspace. We are using our RideTech offset trailing arms and complete front and rear coilover suspension. http://www.ridetech.com/store/muscle...ures_hash=V366

"Holy Cost BATMAN" That's a nice setup not in my budget... although the front coil overs would be nice. I really need new control arms and bushings also.

If you were to finance a new Z06, its only a couple car payments

Honestly, I do sympathize with the cost thing. When faced with a choice between expense and function, I stress awhile about the cost, then choose function. It has proven cheaper in the long run.

Sorry for the thread diversion, maybe I'll PM you. Just curious about the unique rear spoiler, custom made? Looking for sources to custom fit a '77, just not the one you're using.

The rear spoiler was handbuild from aluminum for this project, but Josh at Custom Image Corvettes is talking about reproducing it from fiberglass. It was meant to replicate the C7 Z06/7 rear spoiler. Contact Josh at CIC for details.

Default 1968 427/4spd

Out back
Western Wheel 15x10 with Mickey Thompson 325/50/15's.
Up front
Western Wheel 15x8 with Mickey Thompson 275/50/15's.

I have no rubbing issues and I also am using the original trailing arms.

When I'm done with this car its going to look like an old school pro street race car.
