Several members have fit C5 wheels to the C3. It takes adapter/spacers and the amount of offset depends on the wheel you choose and the back spacing. I'm leaning towards the C5 Z06 wheel when I get mine back on the road. I prefer the looks of the original slotted wheels on my car, but I have a hard time paying for the crap 15" tires that are available when there's a lot bigger selection on more modern wheels. Look back through the thread and you'll see several with C5 wheels.

Yes they do. ..... they usually require adapters and some require modifications.

Thanks for the reply. I'm restoring a c3 74 stingray vert 454 4 speed. My dad is original owner.
I have a c5z. I found some great hres in the c5 section. I'd love to put them on the c3. But adapters don't sound to good to me. I will just wait till the correct size comes up. Thanks for the info

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to simply pass on the deal I found. I wish for them to bolt up perfectly without modification. Thanks

Definitely need spacers. 2.5inch and 3inch is what I used. Have been running them for 11 years without a single issue. Granted I wouldn't be putting on a set of slicks and hitting the track with them either.

Thanks for the specifics and pics. I rather not run the spacers. So I'll wait on the wheels. I just thought I had found d a great deal. I could see putting my stock c5's on w spacers. But not buying fancy hre's. Thanks for the info.

I tried putting a set of 17" off of a '91 on mine. The rears fit with the usual parking brake bracket relocation, but the fronts just didn't work. it would hit with any steering input beyond about a 1/2".

I was using 2.5" spacers all the way around and 255 50 17 (I think; it was last year when I tried). I even took it to the best alignment shop in the area that is really good with our cars and he looked at all of the dimensions and everything looked even from side to side. Any ideas, folks?

Default Work in progress... 295/50/15 rear

Here is a few photos of my old school 69...435
Front 15x8 4 inch back spacing 235/60/15
Rear 15X8.5 3.5 inch Back spacing 295/50/15
No mods done to anything. Stock T-arms and brake bracket still in place.
Note: it does have F-41 suspension from factory....

I now have proper interior that I still need to install with paint job... Give me a few months...

My add some tred wear letters to tires...

You'll have to compare the offset of the wheels you tried with that of a regular C5 sized wheel (thats what I used, non-Z06 size but same style wheel). The factory C5 wheels definitely fit with the spacers I mentioned though. I even had a shop install the rears on the front by accident and didn't have any rubbing whatsoever. Also consider if you're lowered, my car is not.

C5 wheels most definitely fit after moving the emergency brake clip. You need to use the big adapters and Loctite. 100lbs torque on the adapters and 80 lbs on the wheels.

C5 has 17 inch front and 18 inch rear. You can use 245/45/17 up front to give the car a little rake and improve handling. If you want to fill the wheel well, use 245/55/17.

Rears are 275/40/18.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I used 255/60R/15, they rub a little during a sharp turn. It sure gives the car a nice stand.
