Default 295/50 15 ?

I have a 79 with the performance VBP bolt on suspension kit front and rear the rest is stock. I was wondering if anyone has any pics of 295/50 15 tires on 8" stock rims? I read the forums and read yes and no as far as fitting without moving cables/spacers et.... I have 265/50 15 on now. Anyone tried it and if so CAN I PLEASE SEE A PIC?
Thanks much

See page 22 of this thread #431.. This are 295 50 15s but they are on 8.5s with 3.75 b.s... I think the key not having to move brake bracket is back spacing.. If you are using stock wheels you may have to use a spacer to get around no mods....r

Thanks,

Jim

Stock trailing arms w e brake bracket relocated. 1 leaf taken out of the leaf spring and longer bolts. I upgraded to stiffer shocks to offset the softer ride. I have shark bite coilovers in the front. Does not ride bad. A little soft but I'll take that for the stance I wanted. Thanks for the comments.

Not or hijack the topic,(I love to see differente wheel and tire combo),but I notice more forum member switch from one size to the other don't considering the overall measure of the tire,in this way your gear ratio will be different to original
Nobody use the tire size calculator?

The stock tire height is 27" tall you'll see that mentioned in many threads on this forum. The cars using 255/50-17s are running stock height tires as well as those using 255/45-18s. 275/40-18s are real close.

Default 68 conv

American racing torque thrust II, 18"x8" with 4.5" back spacing, stock rear cont arms. Car is lowered about 2" front and rear. Tires are 245/45/R18's (didnt want low profiles) i also think 20's would have looked ok. I have no rub or clearance issues not even with pb

What is the maximum backspacing that can be used in the front with an 18" wheel, assuming all stock components otherwise?

2023 C3 of the Year Finalist - Modified

It's funny but most people over 30 that aren't car people instantly recognize the c3 as a corvette, later models not so much.
I was at a car show last year and a guy says to his buddy there's a nice corvette and his buddy says yeah it is, but that's a nice firebird next to it. It was a zr1 c4, the owner didn't look happy.
