Broken defroster connection
Reading another post brought this to mind and I didn't want to hijack the other thread....
The rear defroster in my 80 does not work. I noticed when putting in my new carpet that Bubba apparently broke one of the wires off the thermal grid at some time in the past. Is there a way to repair it?

Mine also stopped working. I replaced switch in console thinking it had failed but no improvement. Interested to see how to troubleshoot.

Maybe. The intent is to re-establish contact with the grid on the broken side. Contact a local auto glass repair place and ask how they do it.
FWIW: a few years back, my brother had the same problem in his DD; he cleaned the area, then super-glued the terminal to the grid.

1/2 way down the page you'll see a section on how to attach the terminal.
