As for practical solutions, I am truly sorry I can not best your fuel gauge setup. Go call Leno, maybe he's hiring!!!

Car is still running very well with 235,000 miles on the submarine sandwich setup. Put in a 3.55 rear end. Really helped. Use it still as a daily driver, but only about 30 miles a day. Am an M&A consultant. That's Mergers and Acquisitions for you furiners.
Tell young Ken to get back on the forum. Would be interested to know if he ever carried through with the various projects he had in store for his 82.
