i have been installing new lectric limited wiring harnesses in my 72 engine bay, new ign / ac and fwd lamp
the ign goes across the firewall and has the starter and blower motor wires (left / orange wire + earth)
the ac comes out the firewall between the wiper actuator and wiper motor,
and has the compressor, press switches and blower motor (right / purple wire + earth & evac thermo switch(grn/tan)



what am i missing here?
looking at a coloured wiring chart that shows all the connectors, i think i have too many connectors for the same thing...
didnt really look in there b4 i unplugged the old wiring. motor & earth both have spade connectors
there is also a noise capacitor/suppressor with separate terminals bolted to the motor under there as well
which wire do i use, how do wire it up?

Hi au,
In the 71 AIM, UPC Sheet C60, Sheet E1, "Air Conditioning -Front Wiring" there is a diagram in the left upper corner with a note that states "cut orange wire from the production blower motor leads with-in .25" of it's break-out from the harness & discarding the connector".
Does that apply to your situation?

there is a "UPC Sheet C60, Sheet E1" in my 72 AIM as well and it says the same.
but...
there is also "UPC Sheet C69, Sheet A4", " radio am/fm capacitors" which shows it using the orange wire...

was leaning towards the purple wire as it comes from the blower switch
