Tempted by the DARK SIDE....
Hey all, I was in Kentucky the past few days, and happened upon a F*rd dealership (don't hate me). They had several Roush Mustangs and several Cobras on the lot. I was looking at the Stage 1 Roush as a replacement for the Stang my wife already drives when I cam across the supercharged 2003 SVT Cobra. It was a beautiful blue, almost purple. It boasted 390 horses, came with all the goodies like IRS, 6-speed, etc. I came close to offering to trade in my wife's car AND my Corvette! Cooler heads prevailed, and I smiled I got home to find my boxes of parts that I had ordered for the Vette. Make no mistake about it, though. This new Cobra is a contender!

I've actually toyed with the idea of swapping my wif's 96 LT-4 for an NSX, or putting an aluminum block overhead cammed Ford 427 into a '69 vette for the best of both worlds.
Just doing some free thinking, like yourself. :)

I'll bet the dealer markup on that Cobra was ridiculous...

There are two things to remember when you think about that Mustang.
#1 Only those a bit more in the know will realize what it is and everyone else will see it as a Mustang and therefore not give it the attention you get driving a C3.
#2 It weighs 3800-freakin'-pounds for a "sports car"

the mustangs are nice looking and they are fast BUT,i just traded in my 97ford f150 4.2with rods knocking 75000 miles on it.fords having a bad time with these motors ,bad head gaskets bad bearings and several other recalls . my problem and others with the 4.2 ford is not standing behind there product .picked up my new chevy today.
