Does any one know were I can find the complete specs on a stock L82 350? Like the size of the stock carb, compression and so on?

In my sig are links to my web page - which has some info on the 1978 L-82 or you can go to the 25th anniversary registry page which has some specs there as well.

Have you gotten a specifications booklet from Chevrolet (FREE!) by calling 800-222-1020?
Lots of info there and BTW, it's FREE

Here are detailed engine specifications for the 1979 L-48 and L-82 engines. The Rochester Q-Jet is rated at 750 or 795cfm (opinions differ) and the compression is 8.9 or 9.0:1 (again opinions differ).

Slickman, go to Ebay's web site , type in your year model L-82 and you,ll pull up a factory GM assembly manual. EVERY thing you need to know to rebuild , motor spec's on your year model . I got one on an 80 L82 COST 20.00 IT WILL EVEN SHOW YOU HOW TO TAKE A FENDER OFF AND BACK ON........... :)

The assembly manual but I would love to get my hands on the other two you have!! The assembly manual is good, not much in the way of specs, nice drawing on assembly.:yesnod:
