Default Wheel hop

I'm surprised with the wheel hop I get when breaking them loose. Is this typical of this rear end setup for a 68 coupe? I would have thought with the trailing arms there would be little if any wheel hop.

Or it's a tell-tale sign of something wrong with the rear suspension?

Check the bushing at the front of the diferential mounting bracket. It may be loose, deteriated or missing allow the differential to rotate.

very careful w wheel hop.... the "loading and unloading" or shock load will destroy a rear end faster than anything...adjust your tire, tranny and driving style to spin tires...and hook... but the Hop... will destroy it soooooo fast..

I put on a set of cheap shocks once and and had very bad wheel hop.

Replaced the shocks with a good set, and no more wheel hop at all, under any conditions.

What are good or bad shocks ? This could be a very long thread.
