650 Holley possible float problem????

Did you replace the needle/seat assembly? Could be momentarily stuck open and then closing due to wear. Just went through a similar problem last night except the needle/seat was stuck open with a piece of debris that got past the fuel filter. Car was stumbling due to flooding at highway speeds. Finally stalled on the off ramp coming to a traffic light. Wow, talk about fuel pouring into the primaries just after shut down!

Just now pulled off both ends to check the needle and seat. Both are clean and appear to be seating OK. However, I did notice the the front float was touching the little white plastic cover over the needle/seat before it was completely at the top. Won't know if this is the problem till I get a chance to take it out for a spin but we will see.
