Here's my new 315's. The old one's are shot.
They are 2 1/2 buds wide.

George,
PLEASE get some burnout video! If you have to beg borrow or steal a digital video camera, even if you have to burn the digital to a CD and mail it to me, I'll render and host it for you too.

Stingy74 I only have a quick time dig camera. But this afternoon I did my best to get rid of some more of my Goodyears. Like your little turn around blast *.mpg I was feeling sorry for my drive line. I was really thinking of some 70 mph loops in a stadium size parking lot.

Ummmm, is it my imagination or is the actual tread sticking 2" or so out beyond the fender lip?

I had to raise it up on the nose to drive on long trips. tall front tires and 1 inch rubber spacers. When i'm out doing it - it's down lower
If you look you can see part the full role cage next to the drivers window. This is when i drove up to Mount Rushmore South Dakota. It's covered by 1500 miles of bug splaters.

I just don't get it goerge....everytime I see those tires sticking out of the rear I'm like..."bye bye fender on first bump!" or... "stone chips around the wheel must make a nice polkadot pattern"
But since you keep buying huge tires like that, maybe it ain't that bad! So tell us the trick! why aren't u getting the disasters I mentioned above??

George that's some serious new meats you've got there :D .
Video tape with a camcorder then down load to your computer with a video capture card. I'd love to see your old Goodyears having a Badyear on video :yesnod: .

They make 420 inch pound springs feel soft as a race/street car can. That a 3/4 sway bar, Smart Struts, and good gas shocks. Back when I was realy into drag racing. I watched video's of my launches. I figured out that I was getting way to much rearend squat. At the time I had TRW 340 or 360 lbs fiber mono spring. I even hit some big tall tires into the frame rails. So I went with the 420 inch pound steel spring. It was many years later that I moved up to 17 inch wheels and the benifits of an additional 6 inches of rear wheel width.
My problem is: My slicks and race tires fit under the wheel wells. So if I went with flares I think that it would look bad at the track with big flares and small tires. I run 10X28X15 slicks and they also have never touched the body. I'll dig out a picture and post it later.
315/35's are just under 26 inches tall

UPDATE I had to go out and knock off all the
casting ***** and stickers. I thought that you were supposed to do a big smokey burn out to get a heat cycle into them to cure the rubber.
They make a 335/35/17 and I probably should have got them. But the book said that my 11 inch rim is the smallest that they can go on. My 315's
are Dunlop P8000. The problem with ordering tires from the TireRack is you can't see them first.
It's got 4 big rain grooves around the tire each about 1/2 inch wide so your
loosing 2 inches of gound contact. They seem to bite pretty good now while the rubber is soft and new. My old Goodyears had lots more rubber on the ground. I guess that I should have bought the Yokahomas.
