Default Correct Fan Clutch for a 72 350 w/AC ??

Hi, does anyone know what the correct Fan Clutch would have been on my 1972 Corvette? It's got a 350, non-LT-1 engine with AC. The build date was Nov 71.
I was told that a Schweitzer style, 7.25" diameter fan clutch is correct.

I was talking to a person who specializes in restoring C2 & C3 corvette fan clutches who said that I should talk to an NCRS judge to be sure, as he thought my 72 should have a 6" diameter Schweitzer fan clutch. What's right?

Thanks!

Hi JH,
The base engine non a/c in my 71 has a Schweitzer 7-1/4" fan clutch; part number 3916139 for the whole assembly…. clutch, fan, and fasteners.
The AIM indicates a different part number for an a/c car….3937771… but there's no description of the clutch in the AIM or my Parts Book.
So?
Regards,
Alan

There are some 72 sb a/c cars here so perhaps someone will speak up.

7.25 inch dog dish. There's a couple identical to mine http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Corvette-Fan-and-Clutch-LS5-454-350-AC-Air-Conditioning-Bloomington-NCRS/331169456953?_trksid=p2054897.c100204.m3164&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140407115239%26meid%3Dfa6e663abc034b7c895e2b8c4baa890b%26pid%3D100204%26prg%3D20140407115239%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D30%26sd%3D170901962331 if you wanna have a look. One includes the 7 blade fan for the A/C. BB/SB makes no difference on the clutch. A/C = 7 blades. There are no part numbers on these clutches and the judging guides make no reference to exact part number. There were only 2 mfg of these clutches during that period and EVERYONE domestic used them across all their models so they should be plentiful - don't over pay because it says Corvette blah blah blah. The Schweitzer
"dog dish" is what you are looking for or the Eaton model GM parts replacement.

Thought I'd seen this before:

Here, everything you ever wanted to know, and more, about the fan clutch.

72 AIM UPC 6 Sheet A3 #3991426 for the clutch. The C60 section says the regular production clutch was used for AC cars.
