I will get some posted up as soon as I get a few more. If you can get away this weekend the Good Guys show in Raleigh is about 4.5 hours from you. It is one of the closest events to you that we will be at. You should come out and get a ride in the 48 Hour Corvette and it will more than make up for the end of the online build!

I think the end of the video portion was reflective of the realities of building hotrods...it did not go as scripted. While we could have "managed" some things to get the car running in the 48 hour time period...and maybe even driving the next day while the cameras were running, we chose to play it straight up. We ran into problems, delays, and all the other stuff that can plague a project like this.
In reality, the "48 Hour Build" was not the end of the project, it is really the beginning. We will now proceed to race, drive, refine, and enjoy the car, just like any other hotrodder who builds a car like this. We had a good showing at our shakedown run at Bowling Green, a great showing at our first competitive event at Goodguys Texas, and we won in dominant fashion at the Texas Optima event. We could not be more pleased so far!
We will now continue to make the rounds of the Goodguys and Optima Series to give rides, show off the products on the car, have some fun...and hopefully continue to kick some ***!

On a whim, I drove down to NC for the Goodguys show this past weekend. Seeing this C3 fly around the cones was the highlight of my weekend. When we pulled into the parking lot on Saturday morning, my son yelled out "there is the car from the internet". He was ecstatic ... and so was I !

Might have to check the car out at either the Brooklyn event or South Haven event.

the guy driving the gray cobra mashed up his right fender when coming to a stop at the end. He told me that Stacey totaled the Mustang she was driving but the car was put away an i didn't see the damage.Kyle was the one with the fastest time about 2 P.M the Gray Cobra was second Fastest and then there were some seriously nice C2 Corvettes in the frey. it was amazing how fast the early corvettes are, but they are all well worked. i can see that a dry sump oiling system would be essential.

RideTech 48 Hour Corvette On The Podium In Kissimmee
It was a beautiful weekend in Florida for the 2nd Annual Goodguys' Rod & Custom Florida Nationals. Chris Smith and the 48 Hour Corvette were ready and willing to take to the concrete battlefield that most of the competitors later compared to a go cart slick track. "The Pro Class competition was stiff, they left the hole fast and hit the concrete hard," reported Chris about Friday morning. With Chris coming from the gravel peppered track at Raleigh, the Corvette had a good loose traction setup right out of the trailer which kept him on the leader board throughout the weekend.

By Sunday morning, Chris had worked his way into third place, a mere 2 tenths of a second of Kyle Tucker's first place run. Second was held by Tyler Powell and his C2 Corvette also on RideTech TQ CoilOvers. The competition between the three cars had been so close all weekend that the GoodGuys' staff called for a Sunday morning Shoot Out between Kyle, Tyler, & Chris. The scene was set and the three were summoned to staging. Tyler Powell had the magic setup for this run and advanced to the first place position knocking Kyle down to second with Chris holding his third place spot to finish out the weekend. When asked about the weekend's event Chris replied: "The RideTech 48 Corvette is teaching me as fast as I can learn. We continue every weekend to make steps in the right direction. I keep thinking this car can't possibly get any faster and then bam another tenth is shaved. The suspension, tires, and brakes are starting to make some real music on this car!" (EVENT RESULTS)

Thanks for posting the first part of the video, since I missed it the first time around.

The steering box brace is a great idea! Have you done any before and after tests to show how much it reduces the frame rail twist that is endemic to running an integral steering box on the C2 and C3 cars?

My understanding is that these are one-off for this car for the time being. Custom Image Corvette is hoping/planning to take a mold and make kits end of year.
