Coolant pooling on intake manifold.

Coolant pooling on intake manifold.
Guys:
After the car is put away from driving, I get coolant pooling in the front valleys of the intake manifold. Right and Left.
It pools about .5" and that's it. Wipe it away, come back in a few days and it's back. Is this just a gasket replacement or is something else going on here??
Thanks folks.

Bet it is either the thermostat gasket or the upper radiator hose at the thermostat. Try tightening the bolts on the housing and the hose clamps.

Or you can lay a piece of 200 grit sandpaper on a flat surface and hold the housing lightly on the sandpaper while making figure 8 motions...this will give a very flat, smooth surface on the metal where the gasket seals.

Intake manifold bolts that go into water passages can allow water to seep onto the intake manifold. If all else fails try removing one intake bolt at a time and resealing with something like AFR's bolt sealer.

If you have an aluminum manifold that is many years old, it can corrode from the inside and get spongy/porous and then leak under pressure. Sounds strange but it happened to me.
