Skipping ahead a bit I installed a performance clutch and had the Trans rebuilt.

The engine fired! We hooked it up and fired it up on the stand. This motivated me do keep on wrenching.

After the motor was rebuilt I rolled the frame into the garage

The frame had been previously modified with a solem suspension kit and just needed some freshend up bushings and attention. I also repainted the frame semi gloss black with some tuff oil based paint

My first spot of attention was the brakes. They were new 20 years ago but looked like they didn't age well.

In with the new.

Luckily the cylinders were not pitted or scored. There was all kinds of gunk and crap inside the calipers so I was happy I rebuilt them.

A lot of the Pistons were sticky when I pulled it apart. I replaced them with all new aluminum and ceramic O-ring pistons and replaced the bleeders and o rings between the halves

Looking great what you have shared so far! Looking forward to the rest of it. Hopefully you can figure out how to post more than 1 pic at a time unless you are really trying to keep the suspense up.

Hahaha it doesn't let me do more than one. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I'll figure it out lol. After I got the suspension and brakes all restored and moving smooth I used a frame rust preventer spray that coated the inside of the frame to prevent rust.

Once the frame itself was situated I replaced all the U joints in the drive shaft and half shafts while inspecting other parts like wheel bearings and parking brake cables and mounts.

And then it was on to the body

Default Dash

Dash came out and so did the windshield. The windshield however didn't come out in one piece haha. The bird cage was in fair shape it was rusted in the lower corners of the windshield and on the passenger rocker

So I spend weeks! Cutting out all the rust on the birdcage including the full rocker on the passenger side. I bent and fabricated panels and pieces and welded them in to make the wiedshiled frame bulletproof. And bought a replacement rocker piece and welded it in.

The full birdcage was strong and rust proofed with paint

After pulling out what seemed to be an electrical night mare, I decided I was going to build this car light and simple like race car and totally rewire the whole car MY way haha. So down to the shell it went

After pulling everything out of the inside and the engine bay it was time for the paint.

Believe it or not I stripped the whole car with a razor blade
