Default What is this part called and how to replace

It's for a 75' coupe.

1. It's located under the body beside the seat belt anchor and I need to source a new one but don't? I tried to find the Zip diagrams but can't seem to locate them.

2. How do you remove and replace?

The passenger side seems ok.

Not sure what they would call it on your year but on my 69 that would be similar to a seat belt mounting bracket.

Took a quick look around and dont really see them anywhere. Doesn't look to hard to make up on your own.... looks like you'll have to cut it off the rocker channel and the floor to make up your own.

My suggestion on this and your #2 mount post.... clean up the areas ... remove as much weak stuff as possible then make up a small patch and weld it into place and coat it with something... the repair will outlive us all. Keep it outa the road salt..

If these guys dont make them ... then most likely no one does.....

Do you have the 75 AIM? Could be pockets for the seat belt retactors to mount.

I'm still unable to find it on Vette Products site.

Yes, I have the manual and yes I believe it's where the retractor brackets mount to.

This is the only reference I saw in the AIM.

Thanks for the reply Alan.

The part number B4082LR is shown in the image below and is not the part I'm looking for. The part I'm trying to identify and replace is the "T" shaped metal bracket that is beside it. It's close to the "2" in the AIM photo.

Try AIM pages before the one you've posted for the T shaped bracket. It's shown as already installed on this page.

looking at the pictures, I fail to see the reason you are trying to replace them. If the holes are stripped repair them or go to the next size bolt.

MelWff, do you not see the amount of rust along the bottom of the metal bracket to the point that metal has rusted away? I stopped using the wire wheel to clean up the area as it would have developed into a large hole.

The issue has nothing to do with any stripped threads, as I could have removed the nuts and tig welded in new ones if that was the problem. To me that's a simple problem.
