Stock Throttle Cable Routing?

Default Stock Throttle Cable Routing?
'71 350/270.

Should my throttle cable be routed on the inside or outside of the left tower that supports the chrome distributor cover?

Hi drs,
I'm not sure that it matters.
Mine was originally inside the shielding support. In fact the engine vibration caused the edge of the support to wear a little groove in the cable's plastic sheathing.
I now have it run outside of the support.
So I'd say which ever way causes the least 'bend' in the cable's route to the firewall.
