Happy New Year everyone. I figured I would go back and show you how deep into this car the resto work went. Chris did an amazing job getting out all of the rot and prepping the body and chassis. This is likely one of the most solid '69s out there because of all of his hard work.

I remember the build on another Forum- wasn't the original intention to build it for his wife?

Hey- how's the new or bigger motor coming along?

Hey Richard, yes Chris was building it for his wive and then they decided on a move/life change. The new short block is done, but I decided to focus on dialing in the suspension over the holidays so I can autocross the car during the good months in Florida. I'll finish the motor over the next couple of months while I drive the car as is.

Looks great Neal. It is 5 degrees here so mine is parked in the garage for a while.

I am planning to run some local autocrosses this Spring, so I spent some time setting up the rear suspension. I added new Viking Crusader double adjustable shocks with the 'AP' valving. I adjusted the 6 link for .5 degree negative camber at ride height. I have .8 - 1 degree negative camber at full compression. The axle clips have been removed and I've verified no bind through full suspension travel. I also added a rear tow hook from Vintage Exotics. My new shop dog helped me by licking my ears the entire time.

Neil, do the towing hooks come powder coated or did you have that done. I will get one and like that setup. Thanks for this. David

Cute pup.

Cute pup.
The tow hook came in an orange anodized finish. I had it powder coated red to match the theme of my car.

Hi Neil. I can't tell from the pictures, what are the safety loops around the half shafts mounted to?

Priya, the outer loops attach to the trailing arms. The outers are available separately and do not require the full 6 link setup. The inners attach to the 6 link differential bracket. The inners are not NHRA-approved but I believe the outers are.

Just picked up a shop dog of my own. Max just turned 12 weeks.
He is a hand full and has a lot to learn.
Especially about not running off with my tools.
