Default [PICS] Lowered the '68 with a low arch spring

Just got my Van Steel low arch spring today and already installed it.. Drivers side is perfect but passenger side still sits a little high.. Much better than before though.. Might get a 1 inch longer bolt for the passenger side.. Passenger side tire also sticks out a little.. Shouldn't be a problem to fix those little issues..

Great car and pics!

Is it just me......or should the battery be in a compartment on the Passenger's side...............
my project sits higher by 3/4" on the passenger's side even after rotating shorter leafs 180* and replacing the main leaf that was sagging on the driver's side)

Battery is in the compartment on the drivers side. The left compartment had the jack..
It is not uncommon that the body does not sit perfectly straight on the body and there could be also issues with the body mounts..

Sagging to one side at the back can also be caused by the front springs. Have you looked at them?

Ride height in front seems to be consistent between left and right.
I already ordered a set of 9 inch C4 spring bolts. They should work fine and with 18" wheels, there is no risk of them hitting the ground if a tire is deflated..

Car looks great, was wondering about your tile, does it stand up against abuse from jacks and what not?

Great looking Vette. I like that paint job and the black wheels.
You could come down a few more inches in back.
My official measurement is 2 fingers width between the fender lip and the tire.
Cover up those windows on the garage door to hide that jewel from undesirables

I will be able to lower it 1 more inch on each side with the longer bolts that I ordered.. Don't want to go 10".. 1 more inch lower should work out fine. I'm not too worried about the undesirables... I have cameras all over my property, a driveway gate and a wall and in case that someone jumps the wall, I have thousands of rounds of ammo and several guns to take care of them... In the worst case that I"m not home, I have good insurance on the car...

Nice stance....that is weird about the right rear....but i am sure you will get it sorted.
You could drop a bob from a point on the frame in the rear up high to the floor on both sides, measure the length and that would tell you if it was at the frame or body......just a thought.

The difference between the sides is close enough that I can adjust it in a way that both sides match. The passenger side also sticks out by a little bit and I'm going to remove the 1/4 inch spacer to bring the passenger side farther to the inside but I have to modify the e-brake bracket a little bit (I will slightly twist it to point straight down so it completely clears the rim and tire. Drivers side lines up perfectly with a 3/8 hubcentric spacer. Passenger side sticks out by about 1/2 inch with a 1/4 inch spacer. Once I get rid of the spacer, it should only stick out by 1/8 inch which is not going to be very noticeable.. Dan at Van Steel told me that it's common on C3's that the body does not sit completely straight on the frame and that this can be fixed by loosening the body mounts and adjusting the body.. However, that sounds like too much work for something that I can compensate for with minimal adjustments.
