Default Telescopic won't hold after Borgeson install

I just installed a Borgeson power steering box and now my telescopic steering just slides back-and-forth. I'm trying to engage with the lock but it's really loose. Any ideas?

The telescopic lock is 100% in the top of the column. There's a star wheel type screw that drives a rod down to lock the column. If the star is not tight enough, no lock. IIRC, Jim Shea has the adjustment for that and a complete diagram and instructions on his page at jimshea.corvettefaq.com

On Dad's car, we cranked the the star wheel screw down until the telescopic was locked and then put the the handle on it in the locked position. Pull the horn button and check it out. Dig further if you can't lock it by removing the handle and turning the screw in tighter.

Remove the 6 screws on the star wheel, turn star wheel one notch tighter, reinstall screws. Keep doing that till you get the adjustment ring to feel right.

Thanks guys. Just a coincidence that it got loose after switching to a Borgeson.
