I just checked with my son, who works at a local auto parts. He said it briefly went away, they changed something in the formula, now they have it again. I'll try to find out what they did.

They probably sell a California only blend with no zinc.it will be interesting to see the difference.
this is what happens when people elect governor moonbeam and idiots like him. Register and vote these morons out.
this is why SEMA is worthless the waited till just the last few years to wake up and try to do things. Before that it was all appeasement, well you can't appease tyrants.this was designed to get old cars off the road.wipe out a cam and another classic car is off the road
there is always Amzoil, but I use the VR 1 myself

Drifting
This might be a good candidate for you guys with older cars.. heard pretty good things about the shell products. I use the Rotella T6 in all my turbo cars, never had an issue.

Shell Helix HX7 is a semi synthetic blend not a true synthetic, plus being a mass market grade oil will probably have ZDDP levels of 800 PPM.
If you live in a warm climate or drive mostly in warmer weather, I would recommend Mobil 1 15W-50 (ZDDP of 1200/1300 ZDDP) recommended by Mobil for older flat tappet cammed engines like our C3's have OR
Mobil 1 0W-40 European Formula which is a true group IV synthetic, (has ZDDP 1000/1100 PPM), and must have the more robust additive package specified by VW, AUDI, Porsche, Mercedes Benz etc. I use Mobil 1 0W-40 Euro in my 78 C3 with a roller cam and every other car and motorized equipment I own.....never had a cam or engine wear out with it.
BTW-I don't care what the manufacturer recommends for the weight of the oil...Mobil 1 0W-40 Euro Formula...never had a motor show signs of engine wear....I use it as well in my 10 C6Z06 that specifies 5W-30, my Lexus that specifies 10W-30, and my Chrysler 300 that specifies 10W-30 as well as my generator, lawn tractor, snowblower all that specify 10W-30 and not one uses any oil between oil changes....some with LOTS of hours and miles (01 Grand Prix 205,000 miles on it). Great oil and $24 for 5 Qts at Walmart
