stock L82 cam specs
What are the specs for the original factory cam for a 1978 L82?
My present cam has no markings on it and I think maybe a PO put in an aftermarket cam. Or maybe it is the original, I dont know.
Forum searches tell me the L82 cam is "pretty good". Somewhere I read that the specs are 221/221 with a LSA of 114. But I think the poster was not entirely sure.
Anybody know for sure?
Thanks

We still sell/use a high number of these OEM grinds to this very day, most are on the 100% stock-appearing builds, others are simply just for a decent upgrade on the lower HP units.
We have made over 375 HP with this (flat-tappet) cam, with minimal other work, and have a bunch of happy customers running them.
These cams have excellent street manners!
Thanks, Gary in N.Y.
P.S. The .050" duration listed in the post above (222*) was found on the 327"/350 HP units. It was actually a 221* @.050" number with .447" lift. On this piece the OEM part number was 3863151, often referred to as the "151" cam! It also used a 114* LS, but had an ICL of 110*. The L-82 (above) has a 114* ICL.
