Default I just thought that I would post some of my old and present motors

All of them 383, 396 , 427, and the last 434 are all solid rollers

No wimpy cams with Crane Pro lifters. later cams got even bigger with .685/.714 lift

First 427 motown sbc

I never ran them on a dyno. I had 227 cc factory ported heads and the Rev limiter set at 7500

Nice, Gkull is one of the few that actually beats on his engines, he broke a 4340 crank in half

What kind of distributor gear is that George and why did you upgrade it? How did it live? Curious as I read of distributor gear tragedies all the time.

That is the Comp Cams Poly dizzy gear made for non sleeved billet cams. They run fine and last a long time if you limit oil pressure to less than 70 psi. My present one has been going in and out of my different motors for years. Because I put it on my E-tech MSD dizzy and you can break them trying to remove and replace punching the roll pin

Pictures of the baddest per ci motor that ever went in my vette back when i was into NHRA ET bracket Division 7 drag racing.

3.875 stroker crank 4.030 bore for 396 ci 6 inch Manley H beam rods 13.8 C/R domed pistons using my Dart 227 heads running a Holley methanol carb I just broke so many things in the drive train that i gave up on drag racing after a couple of great years
