Default 1975 stingray corvette side pipe questions

Hi, I have a 75 vette and was looking into some side pipes for it. I was wondering where I could find some, and if they would even fit without me hacking away at them, also if anyone has pictures of their c3 with some side pipes, do you mind posting a picture so I could see some different styles etc.

The stainless pipes on my '79 are OBX and the black ones on my '78 are Doug's Headers. Had no fitment issues with either.

Yes, and let us not forget the factory sidepipes, available only in 1969...

They will also fit a '75 just fine and look pretty terrific as well. Also a bit less prone to the proverbial burning of the legs...

Good luck... GUSTO

That looks sweet. What do the exhaust manifolds look like are they headers or factory? Do you have a picture under the hood?

Please consider two things before you do too much research...
Unless the side pipes are factory style which uses heat shields and covers, you may get a 3rd degree burn on your/your passenger's leg, unless you find an aftermarket company that has resolved this issue.
The other is the state in which you live- I did not see where you live on your avatar, but in California, you still need to pass smog, and 1975 will not allow side pipes (bypass catalytic converters, and, basically, anything not stock won't be allowed).
I'm still waiting for this too change myself so I can run dual exhaust again.
Good luck

I installed the Patriot 1060 side pipes and used their hook up kit. Had less than $300 in the whole thing and they look decent and sound good. Not much louder than the rear exhaust did. And they won't burn your leg.

No Gusto, I did all I could without the body off. I put the fastburner motor in with the roller cam option which kicked it to 425hp. New interior, OEM sidepipes. That car gave me the funds to get my 69 and then some. Maybe I should have held onto it for the Florida driving. Live and learn I guess.
Thank you!

Default Jet Hot

Purchased my Hooker set up through Jet hot. They were ceramic coated sterling silver and came with mount kit included. I also bought the STS Baffles.
