Default Turn Signal Lever Question

I was taking my steering wheel off yesterday and noticed that my turn signal lever was a little wobbly. I tightened it by hand and it still has a little wobble to it. Is this normal or could something inside be broken or loose? It does function alright and my version has the tilt/tele option.

Not that this is much help, but mine kinda feels the same I'm guessing. Isn't tight can probably move it an eighth or quarter inch before feeling any pressure, but functions correctly. I have a 78 tilt/tele.

I got off the phone with Rick's Corvette and they said it's a real bitch to tear down and replace. Leave it be until it really breaks they said.
