L88 High Rise Hood - American Sports Car
Hey guys,
I am considering installing an American Sports Car L88 high rise hood on my 79 project. If I take a plum line, and run it from the bottom of the drip rail just in front of the air intake it measures at exactly 4''.
If I measure from the top of the wing nut at dead center of the intake To the drain rail it measures 3 3/4''.
If I wingnut to the fender lip where the hood and the fender would touch flush it measures 3''.
I feel fairly certain this hood would fit. With that said, do you agree, and what have any of your experiences been with these hoods and this company?
Thanks in advance.

An L88 hood will give you another 3-4" on top of what you have depending on the manufacture. This will allow you change your intake option if you decide to do so. I had to install and L88 just to get my motor to fit. I have a 1/4" between the air filter to the top of my L88 hood. Not sure on this vendor. Maybe someone else will chime in on the vendor and their reputation.

Would you mind stringing a line at the center of your filter across the motor from left to right and measure the distance from the 90 drain rail to the top of your air filter wing nut? Thanks
