Installing a fuel injection system on a forum members car. They want the O2 sensor anywhere from 9 to 3 oclock. No pointing upwards for moisture. There is no way to do this in the collector unless you have it sticking up outside the body which would look silly. The best I can do is about an 8 oclock position. Will this be OK.

mine are not properly angled. There was not a really good way to do it so I figured if they foul up every few years then I will deal with it. I have driven mine three seasons and about 10K miles so far and had not problems.

My 02 is under the frame rail about 8:00 on the underside of the car as in the link that 75 gave you.
I am running a blower with Enderle fuel injection and a FAST 2.0 ECM
I have a heated sensor and have no problems with moisture so far.
Ok. Pretty much what I thought. I am running an EZ efi 2.0 on my Cobra and again had to mount it ata slight downward angle. So far no issues. I will mount this one the same way. Thanks I just wanted confirmation for this.

Had my car jacked up this evening so snapped a pic of my O2 sensor for you. We actually put the bung in the sidepipe tube so it is a little more downstream of the collector. I have bungs on both sides for tuning but only one installed for the XFI. No issues in over two years. FYI, I am using STS baffles.
Steve- That is where I am going to put in. Mine is in the header collector right now. Having it welded in this week.
As for the Cobra power it is just stupid power. It has a 408 ci Ford pushing 540 Hp. In a 2200 lb car I have yet to use full throttle. At half throttle it blows the tires away in the first 3 gears at will. I am running Nitto NT05 with a 200 treadwear so they are soft. And Yes I built it!
I had mine installed in the 4 o'clock position (or 8 o'clock position) depending on how you look at it....never had any issues. I had mine installed in the side pipe itself, not the collector.
There is no reason the bung has be 90* to the pipe so the sensor points to the middle of the pipe. Put the hole lower down on the pipe and then get a thick bung and cut it to mount at an angle so the sensor sticks out at 9:00 below the frame. Look at the post by wabco40 in the linked thread but put the bung down further and cut at and angle.
