Default T56 swap with f body hydraulics

In doing a t56 swap(96 f body t56 and hydraulic linkage master/slave); does anyone on the forum (or a vendor) have a solution(eg bracket, plate, custom fab setup) to mount the 96 master cylinder to the 81 corvette firewall?

this is the f body hydraulics:

I did just what you're thinking about. I made a mount from tubing and sheet steel. You can bypass that work with a C10 pickup truck master cylinder that mounts to the firewall at the proper angle. Also, I have seen an adjustable mount to keep the F body master.

Thanks SH-60b, the adjustable mount would be better. Do you know where it could be found?

and how much of the black body part of the slave cylinder need a to be in the driver's cabin?

American Powertrain has something, a little pricey IMO. Maybe there's others.http://americanpowertrain.com/c-6500...acket-kit.html

I used the '85 Chevy truck master cylinder from the local parts house. Works perfect, made of cast iron instead of plastic. Just cut and thread the shaft, add 1 hole in the firewall and your done. No adapters required. I also drilled out the pin on the pedal and used a bolt and a heim joint picked up from the same parts house for about $5.00 to connect to the pedal. Best of all, cheap!

x3 on the '85 pickup master. A remote reservoir from Summit was inexpensive, too.

Did need to cut down the clutch rod and thread a heim joint onto the end to mate with the corvette pedal. Didn't need any adapters, just drilled holes in the firewall and bolted it right up.

AboveTheLogic, how would the 95 camaro slave cylinder connect to the 85 chevy master cylinder?
the t56 has a fork that would remain.

I suspect the factory line from the Camaro might just work.

Otherwise, take both cylinders into a speed shop and ask them to sell you the fittings and hose you need. Hopefully you have a good speed shop nearby otherwise figuring out the threads may be difficult.

Nice pics.
And great savings. Sure beats using an aftermarket MC for $300....

Here's a mount I made to use the stock fbody master.

Also, the stock line uses a roll pin to attach to the slave cylinder. I think you'll need one of these.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. Going to check into both options(complete 95 camaro setup vs piece together using the 85 p/u).
