I have a 350/300 coupe with A/C, ive owned it since 1985, I just recently changed the springs and now that I understand more about the subject, I have HD springs in the car. a 7 leaf spring in the rear. it was matched to what I took out. does a F41 suspension come with a rear sway bar or can it be ordered without? It has never had a rear sway bar. and is it an F41 suspension? I have no build sheet available.
Hi b,
If you think the 9/16" F-41 rear sway bar might 'stiffen up' your rear suspension too much, you might consider using the 7/16" bar that was available in later years.

Alan
Perhaps the size of the front sway bar has an impact on the recommended size of the rear bar…. so you may want to verify if that's so.
Hi b,
You're right, for 68-72 cars the standard suspension had a rear spring made up of 9 leafs….. 3 flat leafs at the top and 6 arched leafs.
The optional F-41 suspension, (when available), had a 7 leaf spring.

Alan
Here's a 7 leaf spring on a 72 ZR-1.

owning this car all these years, I got to go through it completely with the aim and cant believe how original it is. the factory alternator still works, washer system is factory complete and works, the original wiper motor burned up on me last month. the cardboard rear compartment pullout was complete but water damaged. being a extremely late 69 car I did notice a lot of 70 parts on it.
