i have a 79 corvette 406 4 speed manual. at the prese.nt i have 410 gears.should i keep them

you really have to provide more information, a track? what kind of track, a 1/4 mile track, a dirt track, a road course track?
if a road course what is the length of the track, what kind of turns, etc.
you really have to provide a lot more detail

Top speed of mine with 3.73 gears and 7200 RPM was 145 MPH, with 4.10 yours will be less, they will be good on a short and technical track [like Autocross, the Autobon] where you don't need high speed and a lot of kick coming out of the corners. Great on the drag strip. T

Keep the 4.10 and install the road racing tko 5 speed manual with the .82 od

Option two is to calculate your tire diameter and rpm top speed with 3.73 and 3.55 rear gears and see what fits your needs
