{RACE*STAR*DRAG*ROAD* RACE*WHEELS*} On sale too low to advertise!
We have a full line of available Race star wheels commonly used for drag racing and road racing. We can get you some really great pricing so shoot us an email or private message and see what we can do for you! C3-C7 fitments available!
These do not currently fit LG Drag Spindles, however we can get you some great pricing on those as well if you are looking for a more aggressive setup than the standard drag radials.

This will give you an idea of look. They are available in either black chrome or polished finish.
This is a 17x8 17x9.5" setup that requires an offset trailing arm setup. Otherwise 17x8 and 17x7 will fit without any modifications required.
Shoot me an email or private message for pricing.

On the 17x9.5 wheels what size tire is best and backspacing and off set for a 1980 corvette.

When looking at any wheel we divide the total width by half at 0mm and that gives us the backspacing. The remainder of the width is out in front of the wheel mating surface. So for every approx 6mm+ offset you add the wheel is going to move 1/4" closer to the axle. For every -6mm offset the wheel is going to move 1/4" further away from the axle.
Modern base Corvettes run a +79mm offset in the rear versus a 0mm offset for say a C3. So while plenty of people may come on and say you don't need offset trailing arms that means they are running an offset on 9.5" different than 0mm. They are probably running something with around 12-24mm negative offset.
The downside is the wheel will be moving out away from the trailing arms so it may stick out beyond the fender with a negative offset in that width. The blue C3 pictured has these wheels with offset trailing arms. So just imagine those wheels sticking out .5-1" more and that would give you an idea of what a 9.5" with a -12 to -24mm offset would look like.
Yeah, no trailing arms, but is it the look you are going for.?
That is the question.
Tires depends on what you want to do. Generally drag racing like as much wheel sidewall as you can get. Road racing and street likes a stiffer smaller sidewall without getting too small and too harsh.
