Car is 75 and power window has quit working on passenger side . I have removed door panel and unplugged connector to window motor . Tested at this spot no power at connector . When I try switch the amp gauge does move so this tells me their is power to switch . Where do I go from here ?

Had the same problem in my 75, on the drivers side. It was a broken wire between the door and body, inside the accordian boot.
Possibly you have the same problem? If you have no up/down power, when grounding to the window motor and your switch tests ok, I'd pull the door boot back and check the wires. Check for 12 v at the switch first.

Just for the heck of it with the motor wired, leave the door wide open and work the switch while with your other hand you wiggle the rubber tube in the door jamb at the same time.

This just happened on my friends car and it turned out to be a broken wire in that rubber conduit.

just to make sure we are talking about the same thing. When you tested at the plug, did you run your meter's lead(+) to one of the pins on the plug and the other test lead to a ground on the car?
I ask because a lot of people see the two pins on the plug and assume one is pos and one is neg depending upon if the window's direction (reversing polarity). They are both positive leads- one up and one down - with the ground coming from the motor's case.

Yes I know booth are positive checking booth points with test light and no power . I pulled rubber boot off between body and door booth wires looked good found no breaks . I see in wiring diagram a 30 amp circuit breaker and power window relay . Where are these located ? Also shows a ground wire to body which I do not see ?

The circuit breaker is under the hood near the M/C and mounted on the firewall.
The relay is under the center console.
If one side works then both of those parts are good.

The motor gets its ground from the door.

Pull the connector off the motor and check for 12 volts on both sides.
If good the motor is bound up or bad.
Sometimes the brushes in the motor stick and a smack with a soft hammer will free them up.

Don't ask me how but all is working again Played with booth connectors inside door and tie strapped and taped them , pugged all back together and working . Thanks for all advice
