Default More scratch & dents

I am not allowed to post ebay links but I do have a couple 2nd's available for cheap.

1139069A 69-72 BB with internal trans cooler
1139069M 69-72 BB manual trans

You can probably find them on ebay by simply searching "DeWitts" but if you can't and want a link, email me tadewitt@dewitts.com and I will send you the link. I do not PM!

Tom,

I have a 68 BB M/T and I'm wondering what I'd need to change for a 69 BB M/T Radiator to fit, I'm moving to Electric Fan also?

1968 radiator core supports were unique to that year only. Many have made the conversion but it's not a real easy one. The angle gusset that sits on the frame is totally different than the 69-72 and you would have to cut and modify them, or cut them off and use the gusset from the 68.
1968 parts are not easy to find and you might find this conversion has already been done to your car. Many people have bought a 68 radiator and find out it doesn't fit because there is a later core support in the car.
I don't see any reason to convert anything for any car because we already make conversion radiators. We make them to put BB radiators in SB support and we make them to match LS series engines.
Let's assume you have a real 68 BB support in your car now. That would mean the core was 22.5" and the radiator had a filler neck. No aluminum surge tank. What I would use for that is our 4139066M.
This is a custom 23.5" core, with mounting for the 22.5" U brackets. We stretch the core out an extra inch to match the Spal dual fans and you have a full coverage package. I have never had anyone tell me this wasn't enough to cool their engine.

Oh I'm ticked I missed the 69-72 manual one. I'd love if you could keep me in mind if there are more scratch and dents that pop up. I'm local and would love to pick one up for my Racer.

I can echo Tom DeWitt, I put a 69 DeWitt BB radiator (the thicker widest one) in my 68 with a 454 and I had to install the 69 rad support and cut the frame slightly to get it all to shoehorn in. I want to remember I had to shim and play with the bolting to the front V support too. The 68 BB radiator is smaller and I wanted the bigger 69+ radiator. Not a particularly easy job, but I am glad I got the larger cooling. Doable but not an easy job.

That's what was done on my 68 already at some point in it's history. Dad likely wanted the extra cooling capacity of the 69-72 style radiator for racing with an L88. He still had cooling problems at low speeds/parades.

Looks great. That's what I get for not cruising the tech section. They are 40 or so minutes away so I would just drive over and pick it up. Hopefully another scratch and dent one pops up because I would like to save some scratch on one.
