Passenger door wolnt close flush.
Hi is there a way to make a door close flush? My right passenger door will not close flush. It is out about 3/16 id say. I can push it in all the way flush but will not stay. Also door ajar light is staying lit now because of it not closing all the way flush. I did unscrew the door ajar switch some to get the light to go off but i really want to do something about the door closing right.

Without seeing it, my first thought is that the latching pin that's on the jam is not adjusted correctly. You might need to loosen it and slide it inward (toward the center of the car) slightly, so that when the latch grabs it, it's closed a bit further.

Hi M,
This is the location of the latch's 'striker'.
It's attached to a 'caged' nut plate inside the lock pillar.
Loosening it allows it to move up and down and left and right.
It sounds like yours needs to be moved IN (toward the interior) a little bit which will hold the door shut a little tighter and also will likely shut off the door ajar light.
Regards,
Alan
Mark it's present location with some tape so you know where you're starting and then loosen it and gradually move it about 1/8" at a time until you get a satisfactory door fit.
