I have done the trailing arms, the brake booster ,and been under the dash for several things. But trying to clean the inside back window on a 82 just sucks.

Taking short cuts when doing major repairs. More often than not, it will take longer, break something, frustration and bruised/cut hands.
Example taking the long way replacing the brake booster on my '76. I removed the steering column and dash. Not difficult to do and took about 45 minutes. Replacing the booster from there on was a piece of cake because you can see everything that your doing because it's all easily accessible.
Tightening the clutch fork ball stud. I had an adjustable one and the locking nut backed off. It was a ten second fix to re-tighten after the transmission was removed!!!

It seems like I can't work on mine without it drawing blood.
I would say that the hardest thing to do on my C3 is to stop spending money.

You know you've made too many trips and spent too many hours under the dash when you have a special bucket of tools you set on its side on the center console so you can find a tool that will do the job and fit between your face and the steering column.

I have had the same issue , replaced the diff rear cover , was able to do it without taking the diff out ,just lowered it down enough to get the job done

I pulled the brake booster out today. Since the dash is out.................
SO then, I pulled the brake pedal assembly. I found that even more fun than the booster.
SO now,....................:w illy:

I bought mine because I always wanted a corvette. I had no intention of selling it and never will. It will be left to my son when I die, hopefully he will keep it for his son. Have never cared what I spent on it, never will.

Bought for 14K.
15 years later spent easily another 20K, 2 engines, 3 tranny rebuilds etc.... Maybe worth 25K
Still cant sell her out of love.
Did my heater core yesterday for second time.....thru engine compartment.
