wipers not working on 1979 c3
My wipers only work when I take my test light probe and stick it in the three prong wire plug on the top wire. If I pull the test light probe out they shut down. If I put it back in it starts working just not on their own. Very confused. I checked the ground it is good.

Look at Willcox Corvette site an find the wiper motor check.
A lot depends of you have intermittent wipers or not.
I know how to test it because I have dealt with so many but typing it all out would take me too long...and I know Willcox has it on their site.
The motor should have 12 volts at the CENTER wire in the three wire connector when the key is ON...AND what GM does is switch the ground on and off to the top and bottom terminals in the three wire connector to make the motor go to LOW,HIGH and PARK.
