Just got the 77 corvette, carberator looks new , found choke not closing, after is at operational temperature runs nice good idle. When on hard acceleration it bogs then catches up and run good, any thought, also know of a good mechanic in south Jersey.

Lars (Grimsrud) is the guy to call on Q-Jet. Cliff Ruggles owns the shop with his name on it, but my have a long lead time to get yours rebuilt.
Send Lars an e-mail asking him is he can rebuild yours. He may suggest that he massage yours a bit to make it run better. You may also want to send him your distributor to have it recurved for performance (rather than "least warranty", as done by GM). He is very reasonable on costs and if he can do it, you should ship carb/dizzy to him. You will be pleased with the results.
