Intake and Oil Pan fit?
Hi!
Is there any Edelbrock intake that will fit under the 1968 stock 327 (or even the 427) hood? WITH a place to put the oil filler tube?
The 2101 "performer" fits the bill - but looks too tall to get a stock air cleaner in there. I know a '68 qualifies for the L88 hood, but I just don't "like" it that much. I'm used to the same view I've had for 40 years now.
Same for oil pans - what's the "best" that can fit correctly for a bolt-in change?
I'm thinking of starting a 427 SBC build soon - keeping the Quadrajet and most bolt-on stuff to keep it looking more or less "stock". Yes the purists can see the changes easily - but the "average Joe" that looks in just says "Cool!" - LOL
PS: That red Bubba +12 ignition feed has long been cleaned up and out!
Thanks!

The Performer 2101 will fit under the stock small block hood with the stock air cleaner......but has no oil filler tube. I know of no aftermarket intake that has a filler tube.....(maybe someone has seen one?)

Thanks for the fit info. We are taking the 68-72 SBC hood, right?
The later years had more hood room.

The 2101 is made with a provision to add an oil fill tube. I think that means there's a place you can drill. The part number of the oil fill tube/breather cap is 4803. The tube/breather cap is actually included with (but not installed--still have to do it yourself) on the 2703 series Performer EPS, but that manifold is taller than the 2101 and may be too tall for your purpose.

Yes, ......I had the 2101 on my '69 small block 350 many years ago with the stock hood. In fact, that's one of the few Edelbrocks that they say will fit under a stock Corvette hood.
